Abstract :
The effects of viscosity and velocity of flow upon the performance of multiwire HGMS (high-gradient magnetic separation) filters were experimentally investigated. The results of measurements are analyzed and found to be in agreement with the theoretical model based upon the HGMS filter performance exponental law. The differences in detail are probably due to the approximation of flow conditions
