  • Abstract
    Presents an implementation method of the modified spatial smoothing technique. Because the proposed scheme avoids forming covariance matrices, it can be easily combined with a parallel algorithm, while preserving the numerical stability. Owing to the increased effective aperture, the method performs well even in the near-field scattering environment
