Abstract :
A novel technique is introduced for the synchronisation with better-than-30 ps jitter of electrical pulses to ultrafast light pulses at high repetition rate (74 MHz and more). The technique makes it possible to perform time-correlated single-photon counting measurements at picosecond resolution using mode-locked lasers without cavity dumping.
