Abstract
The electroless plated soft magnetic under layer (SUL) film with low magnetic noises was developed by annealing in a magnetic field to add planar anisotropies, such as radial or circumferential directions. The grain size reduction by increasing B content in a SUL film is found to be effective to decrease the noise power. Radial anisotropy SULs show lower noises than circumferential anisotropy SULs. On the contrary, many spike noises are detected at the positions of magnetic domain walls in radial anisotropy SULs
