Abstract :
Several expressions quoted in the literature for the signal/noise ratio in FM video transmission are clarified and correlated against a background of many television systems being used by different authorities. The motivation for the study stems from the current interest in subcarrier multiplexing (SCM) techniques in optical fibre links.
