Abstract :
The characteristics of magnetic contact duplication of Ba-ferrite tapes were examined using a convenient method. Ba-ferrite tapes having higher squareness in the perpendicular direction showed higher output in a wide range of wavelengths even with a low bias field. It was shown that the perpendicular magnetization component in Ba-ferrite tape was more effective in obtaining high output in the magnetic contact duplication than the head direct recording technique
