Abstract :
An orthogonal-core-type push-pull DC-AC converter for a photovoltaic power system is analyzed. The conversion power and the efficiency of the converter when excited by square-wave voltage with various pulse widths are calculated under a simple assumption. The effects of the pulse width on the performance of the DC-AC converter are clarified. Based on the results, a 4.5-kW DC-AC converter for a residential photovoltaic power system has been developed
