Abstract :
Aspects of the actual output end of the laser are discussed and the component parts that go to make up a suitable laser for an application are also defined. A specific laser application is described as an example, and the article then goes on to discuss a wider variety of manufacturing problems that can be solved by using a laser with reference to other commonly used engineering materials.
