Abstract :
A multiperiod electromagnetic band-gap (EBG) structure is proposed and studied. The stopbands of single-period and multiperiod EBG structures are assessed using finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) simulation and experimental measurements. Simulated and measured results show that the multiperiodic EBG structure can achieve a wider stopband compared to a single period EBG structure.
