Abstract
The radio-frequency (RF) signal fluctuation produced by optical multipath interference together with environment variance is analyzed in this letter. Optical signal chirping is considered during the analysis, as well as the variation in optical polarization states of multipath signals. Results indicate that the RF signal fluctuation increases with the chirping parameter of the optical signal, and are in agreement with experiment results.
