Abstract
Conventionally, queueing analysis is performed assuming the server has a fixed service rate independent of time. If a wireless channel is the server, the service rate becomes a time-varying function due to propagation impairments. A model to quantify the performance of a queue with respect to such an impaired wireless channel is developed. Comparisons against simulation results show the model is accurate.
