Abstract :
A linear-to-circular polarisation converter consisting of four cascaded grids is presented. The grid geometry is a modified version of a strip grating, forming a waffle-grid pattern. The measured axial ratio is 1.5 dB and the insertion loss is 0.9 dB at 4 GHz.
