Abstract :
We have measured absolute cross sections for (P,xn) reactions (x ranges from 0 to 8) from 238U, 235U, and 232Th targets irradiated with 200 MeV protons at the Brookhaven AGS Linac injector. Chemical yields were determined by using 239Np and 233Pa as tracers. Yield patterns obtained in this work can be compared to the experimental results and theoretical calculations from earlier work and they are consistent within the framework of intranuclear cascade followed by neutron evaporation and fission competition.
