Abstract :
The diffusion of a cold plasma through multidipole fields of a magnetic picket fence is presented. The ion diffusion and trapping are determined by electric potentials inside the multidipole fields. The electron diffusion is regulated by an anomalous transport process driven by low-frequency fluctuations inside the magnetic sheath. Particles drifting with velocities above the ion acoustic speed generate high-amplitude turbulent waves responsible for an anomalous diffusion process
