Stable and unstable operation of complementary composite transistors

It has been found that the common-base current gain of a complementary composite transistor may have values far exceeding unity. An indication is given of the conditions necessary to achieve these high values. It has also been found that the input impedance of such composites may have a negative-resistance part. An oscillator is described which uses this effect.
