Abstract :
An array that is free of rank ambiguities is a key to estimating the directions-of-arrival (DOAs) of multiple signals. We provide counterexamples to the necessity part of a conjecture of Lo and Marple (see ibid., vol.40, p.2641, 1992) for characterizing higher rank ambiguities
