Abstract :
A balanced harmonic generator¿detector operating at the second and third harmonics of 4mm-wavelength radiation is described. Commercially available microwave diodes were used; the 4¿2 mm conversion efficiency was ¿22 dB. An attenuation measurement on rectangular waveguide (WG 32) at 1.4 mm wavelength is reported.
