  • Abstract
    A transverse-network representation for H0m mode propagation in a radially stratified medium is given where the layers are, in general, anisotropic with the axis of anisotropy lying in the azimuthal direction. The representation enables the propagation coefficient to be determined, and results are presented for an H01 mode of propagation in a circular waveguide containing an azimuthally magnetised ferrite tube.
