My view: wireless offers a chance to get it right the third time
Abstract :
Wireless technology is threatening to overtake conventional fieldbus and industrial ethernet technologies, opening up new measurement opportunities and sidelining many of the earlier standardisation issues. Ability of the automation industry to confuse its users to the point where they delay the adoption of new technology almost indefinitely has by no means diminished.
