Abstract
A graphical analysis to obtain the relationship between magnetic flux control and current control for a ferrite orthogonal core (FOC) is presented. The behavior of an FOC is considered as a function of three parameters, namely the primary magnetomotive force (control side), the secondary magnetomotive force, and the secondary flux. It is shown that the flux control and the current control characteristics can be obtained by considering the AC magnetization characteristic. It is also shown that the main control characteristic can easily be derived by graphical analysis
