Abstract :
Bit error rate performance improvement by using self-phase modulation-based all-optical reshaping in a receiver was experimentally investigated using 10 Gbit/s retum-to-zero (RZ) signals. We have confirmed this scheme quite effective in restoring the degraded pulse shape due to optical bandlimitation.
