Approximate methods for calculating multiple-diffraction losses

Keller´s geometrical theory of diffraction applied to multiple diffraction leads to useful formulas and supports a general construction, already proposed, for estimating the total diffraction loss. The theory gives a result for two knife edges in tandem which is shown to be equivalent to that obtained by the Epstein¿Peterson method plus Millington´s correction.
