Abstract :
The development of a home video bus system, which is one of the bases of the Home Bus System, is discussed. The system has two functions: to retransmit the signal received by an antenna, and to transmit in-house video signals such as signals generated from closed-circuit TV cameras. The system transmits video signals via a head-end unit that converts upstream subband signals to downstream signals in an unused UHF frequency range. The system also adopts a four-way splitter network topology with four outlets in each branch. The compact (210*180*70 mm) head end comprises a single circuit which converts two upstream channels to downstream simultaneously. An application system using this system is briefly described.
