Abstract
CMOS integrated circuit designs for interactive video disk applications are reported. The system considered consists of three main parts: data processing, video processing and the sound and disk processing parts. Each integrated-circuit component is discussed. The chip set is designed for low-cost interactive stations, both for professional domain (workstations) and consumer applications, like the compact-disk interactive (CDI) system.
