Abstract
Commercial drivers brought about by competition have created an energy sector in the UK that has changed beyond all recognition during the past decade. The result is a market of privately-owned companies competing with each other for market share and customers; companies that are no longer simply concerned with the engineering challenge of keeping the lights on, but have acquired new commercially-focused skills to attract customers.
