Abstract
The VAN is closely related to supply chain management but describes a somewhat newer concept, the value adding network. Agility is a profound change in the way a business is working to please its customers which is totally directed towards marshalling the resources of a supplier network to provide seamless customer service. The concept of the value-adding network is closely associated with agility, and agility within broadly-based VANs exercises the minds of enthusiastic entrepreneurs.
