Abstract :
A technique for simulating curvature of the Earth¿ionosphere waveguide is proposed. Basically, the idea is to employ a planar structure which is loaded by an inhomogeneous dielectric. The transverse variation of the permittivity is chosen in such a way as to establish the equivalence with the curved guide.
