Abstract :
Computations are given of the phase distortion of the fast cyclotron wave in a d.c.-pumped electrostatic ring microwave amplifier for a range of input power levels in the strong-signal region. The degenerate case (¿=¿c) is considered for a range of pump strengths and beam velocities at and above the small-signal small-pump synchronous value.
