Abstract :
The permeability of iron material in nonlinear eddy current problems is not constant, but dependent on region and time. In consideration of this point an iterative BEM (boundary-element method) formulation for 2D nonlinear eddy currents is derived. Stress is placed on the influence of the magnetization curve representation on the convergence of the BEM formulation. Some numerical results are given.
