Abstract
A linear steady-state model for the series resonant convertor is derived by recognising that the input voltage and the reflected value of the output voltage can be viewed as square waves with a phase difference between them. This leads to the application of elementary Fourier analysis in deriving values of the various currents and voltages without excessive computation. Examples worked out in detail illustrate the simplicity and the powerfulness of the new model.
