  • Abstract
    Waveguide bandpass filters using evanescent modes (i.e. operation below the cutoff frequency) require modified tuning techniques. A variation of the familiar `poles-and-zeros¿ method of setting up is described. Performance characteristics of a typical multisection filter are shown.
