Abstract :
We describe a general nuclear data acquisition system implemented on a minicomputer using the standard facilities of a real time operating system. The CAMAC data acquisition hardware is controlled by a high speed ADC scanner module. Sorting of multiparameter data is based on a flexible Transformation Of Nuclear Event (TONE) language. The data processing rate, including tape transfer, is several thousand events/s, depending on the complexity of the sorting program.
