Abstract
Subtle differences exist between the continuous-time and discrete-time formulations of the cone-kernel time-frequency representation that should be taken into account prior to implementation. The article derives the discrete formulation from equivalence in the ambiguity domain, yielding a kernel different from that obtained by directly sampling the continuous-time kernel, yet preserving the important properties of the continuous-time representation
