Abstract :
In a running system, most or all of the operations described above would be done by normal system software. The tests done here are of interest because they show that when elements of the system are not working correctly, the same diagnostic language which is used to isolate the part of the system having problems can be used to test the individual module. The user need not learn two languages and change from one to the other as he/she isolates the part of the system which is causing problems and then tests the module.
