  • Abstract
    Using a criterion of minimum mean-square interference, the optimum linear and realisable receiver is specified for a noisy p.a.m. system. Constraining the optimum transfer function of the receiver to be given by a finite linear combination of orthonormal functions ensures its realisability in terms of RLCM elements.
