Abstract :
Fluid-flow rate can be derived from the transit time of temperature fluctuations, which is determined from the cross-correlation of two temperature measurements. The accuracy is unaffected by the dynamics of the temperature measuring elements or the system heat losses. Experimental results confirm the usefulness of the method.
