Abstract
We proposed and demonstrated a method for reconstructing waveguide portions that were removed when dicing 45° mirrors onto other waveguides on the same substrate. The polymeric waveguide core divided by dicing at not optical input or output positions was repaired using a self-written waveguide formed with green laser irradiation. The optical coupling loss at the cut point was obtained to be 0.4 dB. We obtained optical output with low excess loss from the repaired waveguide.
