Abstract :
A report is presented on theoretical and experimental methods suitable for evaluating the high-voltage (HV) performance of spacecraft traveling-wave-tube (TWT) components. The field calculations, pressure calculations, and experimental methods used are presented, discussed, and illustrated, and some general conclusions and recommendations are formulated regarding the design, operation, and testing of spacecraft HV TWT components
