Abstract :
The components available in integrated circuits are well known for their large tolerances and temperature coefficients. This paper is a condensed survey of design principles that make use of the advantages offered in monolithic structures: close matching and tracking of parameters, control over component geometries, and the availability of a large number of active devices at little extra cost. With these techniques it is, in many cases, possible to duplicate or even exceed the performance of discrete component linear circuits.
