Abstract
For part 1 see Electron. and Commun. Eng. J., vol.7, no.6, p.237-46 (1995). Part 1 reviewed the need for pulse compression radar and showed how surface acoustic wave (SAW) technology solved the associated matched-filtering problem. Part 2 examines the detailed requirements of actual systems and gives examples of different types of hardware and the results they have achieved. The author discusses radar waveforms, pulse compression radar architectures, the effects of errors, and waveform generation
