Abstract :
A method for the determination of the current sources of an axisymmetric magnetic field specified within a given domain of finite extent is presented. The currents must be outside the domain and must satisfy the specified field boundary conditions. Both the geometry of the regions where the currents flow and the current distribution in these regions are required. The formulated problem is a nonlinear problem of compound synthesis.
