Abstract :
A new scheme for coupling field and circuit equations is presented. The (magnetic) field is discretized in the usual way by a space discretization followed by time-stepping according to some time discretization scheme. The circuit equations are set up by an existing, legacy program or any other available code. The field and circuit algebraic equations are coupled at this final stage; the resulting global equation is symmetric
