Abstract
The challenges of introducing the subject of storage technology in computer systems and data processing into the academic curriculum are addressed. Data storage accounts for almost one third of total computer systems cost and provides one of the most essential ingredients: short access to massive amounts of data. Computer systems in the information age are recognized as a key element of global competition. The undergraduate, graduate and professional curricula developed for teaching this subject matter are described
