Abstract :
Results of experiments in which 7-MHz elastic surface waves were used for horizontal scanning of a simple display system are described. MOSFET circuitry was used to control light emission by local storage of video-signal levels. The scanning function was carried out by stress pulses that passed underneath interdigital transducers on a PZT-7 delay line to generate voltage pulses for gating local control circuits.
