  • Abstract
    A method is given for calculating the effect on the horizontal radiation pattern of a dipole when it is enclosed in a dielectric cylinder. Results are shown which indicate that considerable pattern shaping can occur with cylinders of glass fibre when the radius is a wavelength or greater.
