  • Abstract
    At the beginning of this century, the IEEE designated electric ship technologies as one of the ten emerging technological challenges of 21st century and started its Electrical Ship Technologies Initiative. The IEEE established the Electric Ship Technologies Symposium (ESTS) and new IEEE standards working groups to develop new standards for ships.
