Abstract
An arctangent model is derived to represent the voltage-transfer characteristic of a type of MOSFET complementary pair. Biasing for class-A operation may be accomplished by directly connecting output and input ports; the resulting observed variation in voltage gain caused by variations in the power-supply voltage is explained. A 10-kHz sinusoidal oscillator using two pairs is realized.
