Abstract
In the Linvill chart that is used in the design of high-frequency amplifiers, it is not easy to find the stability factors and transducer gain. To overcome that, the graphical analysis for the active two-port network using the Nichols chart is described. This method is very useful in the design of high-frequency amplifiers having a given value for the stability factor, because the stability factors and transducer gain are easily obtained from the Nichols chart and the auxiliary curve overlay. The other basic characteristic quantities for the active two-port network are also given.
