Abstract :
A differential input-output limiting class of multi- vibrators is described that requires only one storage element, either a capacitor or chip thermal mass. The frequency of such multivibrators has a first-order independence to input pair offset voltage or current and to supply voltage. The measured performance of both RC and thermal multivibrators is compared with that predicted by a simple model.
