Abstract :
Responses to a six-page questionnaire sent to 2000 US IEEE members, excluding students and retirees, are analyzed. There were 656 responses. Job satisfaction, paperwork problems, meetings, and the effects of downsizing are discussed. Views on the profession´s greatest successes and toughest problems are examined.<>
